We all want to see Australia develop into a green powerhouse, where the work we do, the holidays we take and the food we eat all help to protect the planet that sustains us instead of damaging it.

But how many of us can really imagine what a green future would look like and how we can build one?

We want to hear your ideas and we'll answer as many of your questions as we can, if you post them in comments below.

These fascinating questions will be asked at a pioneering conference - Green New Deal: ecology economy democracy - to be held by the Green Institute, the Greens' own think-tank. If you want to come to Melbourne on October 24-25, you can register for the conference here.

How do YOU think we'll make Australia a green powerhouse?

Give us your idea or ask your question here. We'll put as many as we can to Bob Brown at his live webcast speech from Melbourne University on Friday October 23 and others to other presenters at the conference.
