Greens offer solution to emission trading scheme
The Australian Greens have put a good faith offer to the Government to break the political impasse and support the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme legislation if satisfactory amendments are made to make it environmentally effective.
The Greens have set a bottom line for Australia to make an minimum unconditional emissions cut of 25% below 1990 levels by 2020, with a commitment to move to 40% conditional on the success of the Copenhagen conference.
You can make sure the Prime Minister hears your concerns, and adopts the Greens' proposal.
